In his role as HSE Advisor at SIERA, Brett Dowker brings a wealth of dedicated and extensive experience to the realm of Health and Safety advisory for our projects. With a long-standing track record of supporting developers and builders through the implementation of leading safety initiatives and effective risk assessment management, he offers a highly specialized level of expertise and support to ensure compliance with relevant criteria and legal compliances. Brett's profound enthusiasm for physical health, safety, and teaching underscores his commitment to creating a stable and secure working environment for all individuals on site. Taking charge of risk management and system assurance, he effectively inducts, coaches, challenges, and motivates those around him, while providing mentorship and supervision for a range of critical responsibilities. Working as a school/PE teacher, and aquatic coach before transitioning to the construction industry for 12 years, Brett’s extensive working profile as an HSE Advisor and Manager for 25+ multi-million-dollar projects across Queensland allows him to apply his long-term experience and knowledge in all his endeavours at SIERA. Brett holds a diverse range of qualifications, including but not limited to a Bachelor of Education (PD/Health/OE) with Honours, a Diploma of Work Health & Safety, a Certificate III in TAE, multiple on-site construction certifications, as well as a High-Risk Work license, Standard 11 with QLD Coal Board Medical, and Advanced First Aid & Resuscitation training. Further complemented by his personal passion for family, health and the ocean, Brett brings not only extensive safety knowledge but genuine morale and support to the entire SIERA team.
